Field Studies and Schools

An educational space that combines camping, field activities, heritage, and group experience

The Field Studies Center at Yad La-Shiryon is designed for outdoor activities, camping, annual school trips and educational programs for schools and youth movements. Located in a designated campground among pine trees, the center offers outdoor accommodation together with facilities designed for educational and group activities.

Groups have access to lighting throughout the grove, drinking fountains, restrooms and hot showers, field kitchens, staff sleeping quarters and wooden poles for campcraft activities. Tents can also be pitched on site, and a variety of outdoor activities can be held, including ceremonial fire displays.

Activities at the Field Studies Center can be combined with a visit to Yad La-Shiryon, guided tours of the site, talks and lectures by veterans, and additional experiences such as laser tag, jeep tours and outdoor team building activities.

Latrun Park provides a convenient starting point for day trips throughout the Ayalon Valley, the Judean Foothills and Jerusalem. Nearby nature, heritage and hiking destinations include the Israel National Trail, the Burma Road, Canada Park, Latrun Abbey, Shayarot Ridge and HaMasrek Nature Reserve.
